Abstract
ABSTRACT Role of Supply Chain Management (SCM) in the company is very influential on the achievement of company objectives. In order to support development of SCM in PT. Graha Kerindo Utama (GKU) qualified, professional and have high integrity then GKU must be able to optimize all available resources to maintain customer satisfaction which has been faithfully using the product GKU. This research was conducted by way of literature study and field study. This study aims to look at the performance of SCM in GKU. The first thing is to get a prime supply chain strategy that consists of 4 strategies. They are cost, innovation, service, and quality. The next step is drafting the ideal supply chain according to the prime supply chain strategy. The design of Supply chain based on 6 decisions. They are facility, inventory, transportation, information, sourcing, and price. Further observations on GKU performed based on 6 components of supply chain decision making framework. Based on research that has been done, we found GAP’S between ideal situation and current situation. They are utilization metric on facility, average safety inventory metric on inventory, forecast error metric on information and average purchase quantity metric on sourcing. Then we analyze it to find the cause. The main cause is the lack of linkage between supply chain elements in GKU. So the solution is to design an ideal business process. To support the flow of information on business process, it is suggested to use server cloud. Implementation plan is divided into two stages: the first is for the implementation of business processes and the second is for the application of cloud server.
