Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effect of workplace camaraderie on task performance among Generation Z employees in the DKI Jakarta region. Camaraderie is defined as a sense of positive friendship and closeness among colleagues, which is believed to foster a supportive work environment and enhance performance. Employing a quantitative approach through purposive sampling surveys and simple linear regression analysis, data were collected from 213 respondents aged 19–28 years. The results indicate that workplace camaraderie has a positive and significant influence on task performance. However, the magnitude of the effect remains relatively low (R² = 33.8%), suggesting that other factors beyond workplace friendship also play a role in influencing employee performance. Future research is expected to broaden the scope by considering other variables that may influence task performance. This study offers managerial implications, highlighting the importance of not only fostering camaraderie but also addressing other aspects such as skill development, feedback provision, and work-life balance to optimize employee performance
